What We Believe

Our beliefs are grounded in the truth of Scripture and centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. The following Statement of Faith shapes our teaching, ministry, and life together as a church:

The Word of God

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts and fully authoritative in all matters of faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21). Scripture is sufficient for every aspect of life and ministry and is complete, with no further revelation given to the Church (2 Peter 1:2–4; Revelation 22:18–19).

We affirm the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy.

The Trinity

We believe there is one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4), eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in nature, glory, and divine perfection (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30). Each person is fully God and worthy of worship.

God is infinitely perfect in His character—righteous, holy, loving, true, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient (Psalm 11:7; 1 John 4:8). His ways are higher than ours, beyond full human comprehension (Isaiah 55:8–9).

We believe God is eternal and created all things out of nothing by the power of His Word. The universe and mankind were created fully formed by God’s sovereign act, not through evolution (Genesis 1–2).

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite and personal being who is sovereign over creation, providence, and salvation (Psalm 103:19; Romans 11:36). In mercy, He hears and answers prayer and saves from sin all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, equal with the Father, who took on human flesh and was born of a virgin (Philippians 2:6–8; Luke 1:34–35). He lived a sinless life and died as a substitute for sinners, bearing God’s wrath in their place (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24). He rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and now reigns in glory (Acts 1:9–10).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, possessing all divine attributes (Acts 5:3–4). Sent by the Father and the Son, He convicts of sin, regenerates, sanctifies, seals, and empowers all who believe in Christ (John 16:8; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:13). He indwells every believer.er your answer here...

Humanity & Sin

We believe mankind was directly created by God in His image (Genesis 1:26–27). Through Adam’s sin, humanity became sinful by nature and by choice (Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:3). As a result, all people are separated from God and under His just condemnation (Romans 3:23; 6:23).

Salvation

We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. A person is saved by repentant faith, trusting solely in Christ’s finished work on the cross for the forgiveness of sins (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8–9).

We believe justification is a gracious act of God in which He declares a believing sinner righteous on the basis of Christ’s righteousness credited to them, apart from any work or merit of their own (Romans 3:28; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

The Church

We believe all who have put their faith in Jesus Christ are members of His Church and share in its fellowship (1 Corinthians 12:12). The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by loving one another, living godly lives, and making disciples through evangelism and faithful teaching (Matthew 28:18–20).

We believe every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ and is gifted to serve within the body for its growth and unity (Hebrews 4:16; 1 Peter 4:10).

Baptism & the Lord’s Supper

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ established two ordinances for the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

Baptism is a public declaration of faith and a picture of union with Christ and His Church (Romans 6:3–4). The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Christ’s death and is to be observed by believers in remembrance of Him.

Biblical Manhood and Womanhood

We believe that men and women are equally created in the image of God and equal in dignity and worth. God has designed men and women with distinct but complementary roles in the home and the church.

We affirm the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.

Biblical Sexuality and Marriage

We believe that God created humanity as male and female and that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy is designed by God to be expressed only within marriage, and through Jesus Christ there is grace, forgiveness, and transformation for all who repent and believe.

We affirm the Nashville Statement.

The Return of Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return physically and visibly to the earth to establish His kingdom (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11–16). There will be a bodily resurrection of all people—the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to judgment and eternal separation from God (Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:11–15).

At death, the believer immediately enters the presence of the Lord (Philippians 1:23).
