A (identity protected) is a man God raised up to evangelize and plant churches in a mostly Muslim country in Asia. A. has a bachelor of theology degree from a Baptist college and serves with his wife and 3 children. When coming to Christ as a young man he was burdened to share the gospel with those around him. He is the pastor of his local church which started with 8 people and has grown to over 60 members. They face much opposition, threats and hostility in the country they serve. He is ministering in 5 different areas and has planted churches in 4 of these areas. Many Muslims in these areas, who are the poorest of the poor, are coming to Christ. He has been equipping the leaders of these 4 churches in the Word of God through bible studies. Also, Azam and his board have established a ministry to “brickyard slaves”, meeting with many in different brickyards and discipling them with a plan to pay off their debt and to mentor them in establishing Christian homes. A.'s wife assists the church in serving as the leader of a children's ministry and in the Women's and Sunday school ministry.
