Our Purpose & Focus
The Worship and Media Ministries at Grace Church of Napa Valley primarily exists to promote the understanding and practice of “man’s chief end”; that is, to Worship God. During our Worship Services we sing songs about Him, we sing songs to Him and we open our hearts to His Word (Psalm 105:1-2). It is with thankfulness in our hearts (Colossians 3:16) that we are to respond to His calling, to the reality of Christ in our lives and to sing. The focus of the Worship and Media Ministries is on the Lord Jesus Christ, our Rock and Redeemer. Our desire is to minister to the church body and to touch our Napa community with the gospel.
Communication: Schedules & Worship Ministry information are found under 'Resources.'
Our Ministries
These comprehensive ministries listed below include the regular Sunday morning worship teams, the supporting technical staff, the seasonal choirs, drama, dance, media production (Grace Productions) and local cable TV programming (Grace TV).

WORSHIP TEAM
The Worship Team is the most visible of all the ministries included in the Worship and Media ministries. The Worship Team is the main group of musicians that help lead the music for the worship services at Grace. Over 20 musicians rotate from week to week. Our goal is to lead with a worshipful attitude using songs/hymns that have strong Biblical content, trusting that those in attendance are encouraged to express adoration to our Lord.
To be involved in this area of ministry you must be a person that loves the Lord, a member of Grace Church and have a desire to use your gifts/talents for Him. A consistent walk with the Lord is encouraged. Commitment and even sufficient talent in playing an instrument or singing will contribute to the worship team's effectiveness and desire to serving with excellence.

TECHNICAL STAFF
The Technical Staff primarily serves during our corporate worship services taking care of the sound, lighting, projection, audio and video recording. Sound technicians are responsible for the audio amplification of all microphones, instruments and other sound sources used during corporate gatherings at Grace. They mix the sound so that those in attendance are able to hear and participate without distraction. Lighting technicians are responsible for the appropriate lighting during our services so that the congregation can participate and enjoy an environment that encourages worship. Our projectionists use computer projection to display the words for our music, to display the notes for our pastor's message and to show other video that enhances our worship services.
Grace TV
Grace TV presents our pastor’s message on local cable public access and informs our community of additional events at Grace. This program airs every Saturday evening at 8 PM on cable channel 28. The Technical Staff produces this program weekly.
Your Participation is Welcomed
To be involved in the technical ministry, we only ask that you be willing to receive training on the equipment and be available as needed.
GRACE CHOIR & MUSICALS
The Grace Church Choir is a seasonal choir that gathers twice each year for the specific purpose of singing for our Christmas or Easter Celebrations. During the months our choir is rehearsing, we also sing for our worship services. Our choir's ultimate purpose is to draw God's people into an attitude of worship of the only true living God. The songs that are sung are designed to complement the programs or musicals in which they are involved and vary from those with deep theological meaning to more lighthearted music.
Every member of Grace Church who loves to sing is encouraged to be a part of our choir. If you're interested and believe the Lord is calling you to be involved, please contact Steve McCauley, Director of Worship and Media Ministries. If you are not currently a member but are interested in joining the choir please talk to Steve also.
GRACE DRAMA & DANCE TEAMS
Those who serve as actors and extras in our dramatic productions are members of Grace Church who have either expressed an interest to do so or have been encouraged to serve in this vibrant ministry. The scripts written by the staff for our Christmas and Easter Celebrations focus on creative ways of sharing the gospel with our community. To be a part of the ministry please contact one of our Worship Ministry leaders, Steve or Laurie McCauley or Ryan Hedemark.
We add the element of dance to our Christmas Celebrations. Those who have been involved in this ministry have been under the direction of Sara Olson, a local dance instructor who attends Grace Church. She selects those she deems qualified and works with them on the choreography for the specific routines.

GRACE PRODUCTIONS
Video production personnel shoot and edit video that is used in our regular worship services as well as our Christmas and Easter Celebrations. Those involved have developed their skills working within the technical ministries. Trained in areas of lighting, sound, videography, directing and producing this team works together capturing and editing interesting and appropriate video content.
